Lakeisha Jones

Founder, Rooted Futures Initiative

A plant enthusiast, educator, and equity advocate who believes everyone deserves access to nature's healing benefits. After a 13-year career in IT, she followed her passion and opened Pink Pothos, Atlanta's luxury indoor houseplant boutique, in 2022. The bright pink shipping container store at Pittsburgh Yards quickly became a beloved community space, offering not just plants but expert care advice, workshops, and what Lakeisha calls "Plant Therapy."

Through her work at Pink Pothos, Lakeisha witnessed firsthand how transformative plants can be for mental health and well-being—and how unequal access to that transformation really is. In 2025, she founded Rooted Futures Initiative to extend nature's benefits beyond boutique retail and into the schools, hospitals, and senior centers serving Metro Atlanta's most under-resourced communities.

When she's not installing calm corners or teaching plant care workshops, you can find Lakeisha tending to her ever-growing personal plant collection and dreaming up new ways to make Atlanta greener, one community at a time.
